Position: Travel Agent (1099)
Ships & Trips Travel Agency is a dynamic and rapidly growing travel agency dedicated to crafting unforgettable travel experiences for our clients. We specialize in curating personalized itineraries, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring seamless travel arrangements. As we expand our operations, we are seeking passionate and experienced travel agents to join our team on a 1099 contract basis.

Position Overview:
As a Travel Agent, you will have the opportunity to utilize your expertise in travel planning to create customized itineraries, book flights, accommodations, transportation, and activities for our diverse clientele. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional service, building strong client relationships, and ensuring that every aspect of the travel experience exceeds expectations. No experience is necessary, but it is helpful.
Responsibilities:
- Consult with clients to understand their travel preferences, needs, and budget constraints.
- Research and recommend destinations, accommodations, activities, and transportation options based on client requirements.
- Create detailed travel itineraries tailored to each client's specifications.
- Book flights, hotels, car rentals, tours, and other travel services using industry-leading booking platforms.
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the booking process and during travel, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.
- Stay updated on travel industry trends, regulations, and destination information to provide accurate and timely advice to clients.
- Handle administrative tasks such as processing payments, managing bookings, and maintaining client records.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a travel agent or in a related role, with a strong understanding of travel industry practices, booking systems, and destination knowledge.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and provide exceptional customer service.
- Proficiency in using travel booking software and online reservation systems is a plus!
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple bookings simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of international travel regulations, visa requirements, and travel insurance options is a plus.
