Behavioral Health Technician

at Jobisite in Arizona

The Behavioral Health Technician provides direct services to clients by conducting assessments and screenings to evaluate the nature of their, presenting problems to determine their needs and develop appropriate treatment plan goals. This person also provides services such as individualized and group counseling and educational sessions, case management, and some direction to supportive staff.
Work collaboratively with the clinical team to engage, educate, communicate, and coordinate care with the consumer, their family, behavioral health, medical and dental providers, community resources, and others to implement all services prescribed in the individualized service plan.

Manage weekly appointment calendar; conduct intakes and assessments as scheduled; provide individual and group sessions ensuring active clients are meeting treatment plan requirements.
High School Diploma/GED and four (4) years of behavioral health work experience; OR Associate's degree in the behavioral health field and two (2) years of related work experience; OR Bachelor's degree in the behavioral health field and one (1) year of related work experience; OR Master's degree in the behavioral health field; any non-behavioral health field degrees will require additional related work experience.
Be at least 21 years of age
Possession of, or the ability to obtain CP and First Aid Certification
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and TB test
Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure with minimal supervision
Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work in an environment where people may be hostile or abusive
Ability to interact effectively and in a supportive manner with people of all backgrounds
Knowledge of community resources and social service agencies
Ability to prioritize a variety of tasks, following through to completion
Communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
Technical skills including Windows-based computer programs, copier, fax, and related equipment
