Full-time Engineering Technician II Semiconductor - Hillsboro

The Engineering Technician II - Semiconductor role offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Based in Hillsboro, Oregon, you will provide customer support for onsite installations, repairs, and maintenance of photolithography semiconductor equipment. This position demands full-time presence at your assigned worksite and requires flexibility in working night shifts on a compressed work week.

You will receive 1-2 weeks of training in Austin, Texas, or Japan, followed by 4 weeks of on-the-job training (OJT) in Hillsboro, Oregon. This position places you at the forefront of technology and allows you to contribute to improving processes in a pre-production environment.

Skills

Knowledge of Linux operating system for operating and troubleshooting systems
Hands-on mechanical skills
Experience with electronic testing tools
Ability to work independently and collaboratively under challenging conditions
Additional knowledge in optics, lasers, software, robotics, or precision mechanics is a plus
Excellent troubleshooting, verbal and written communication skills
Customer support experience is a plus
Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform various physical tasks

Responsibilities

Check and maintain equipment to meet factory standard specifications
Instruct customers on the operation and maintenance of equipment
Perform repair maintenance and unit replacement following factory procedures
Provide technical support to customers to minimize equipment downtime
Identify and report equipment errors and performance issues
Maintain accurate documentation and provide periodic reports
Collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot and service equipment

Qualifications

Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
AS degree or equivalent experience required (Bachelor’s preferred) with 2-3 years of experience
Hands-on experience with mechanical and electronic testing tools
Ability to work flexible schedules and travel as needed
Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment
Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record

Education Requirements

AS degree or equivalent experience required
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred

Education Requirements Credential Category

Technical or Associate degree in a related field

Experience Requirements

2-3 years of experience in a similar technician role
Experience in customer support is a plus
