We are seeking a CTO / Head of Product Development for our office in Marina Del Rey, California

BountyBuy is a new platform for commerce that centers each transaction around the buyer. Buyers announce their demand to local sellers, who compete for business by making offers. With integrated transaction feedback, BountyBuy also brings trust to the local shopping experience regardless of whether you’re buying a used cell phone or a car.
We are a rapidly expanding, funded startup with a team of top-shelf talent who understand what it means to exceed the highest standards. Intellectual curiosity and maturity mean a lot to us – our team enjoys a high degree of autonomy and continuous improvement. An aptitude for learning takes prominence over current chops. Responsibilities
• Manage an insanely talented Ruby on Rails team that strives to TDD and Agile practices
• Write code and make decisions that inspire the team
• Take ownership of Product Development and User Experience
• Tap networks to add even more world-class talent to our team
• Conduct code reviews and specification conformance testing as required
• Identify technology trends and evolving social behavior that may support or impede the success of the business.
• Lead strategic planning to achieve business goals by identifying and prioritizing development initiatives and setting timetables for the evaluation, development, and deployment of all web-based services
• Ensure that technology standards and best practices are maintained across the organization
Location & Benefits
Ideally, this position would be based in our office here in Marina Del Rey. However, we may consider allowing this person to work remotely on a temporary basis until relocation can be arranged. Currently, we provide medical benefits to our employees and they also enjoy the flexibility of working a few days per week from home.
