Java Developer with JBOSS, Drools, workflow, SOA, Spring, Eclipse, SQL and PL/SQL Experience
Location:Lansing, MI

Description:
Agency Services/MDOT does not have senior technical state resources to assist the department and team with key new generation projects. AS/MDOT has made a strategic move from WebSphere/Struts to JBOSS SOA/Spring. Resources are needed with senior level experience within this new environment that can provide technical consulting support as well as knowledge transfer to the existing team. The resources will report directly to the Operations Systems Manager.
SKILL set:
Understands the strategic direction of enterprise and the supporting IT systems and architectures. Maintains knowledge of emerging technological trends and utilizes this knowledge to educate both IT and the business of opportunities to build better IT solutions that support and drive business decisions. Assists in the definition of the architecture and technology needs of the organization based on new and emerging technologies, and establishes priorities and strategies consistent with business goals and economic viability. Establishes foundation architecture for organization to standardize on hardware and software usage. Serves as a consultant and advisor to senior IT leadership on advanced technologies and evaluates the business impact through cost/benefit analysis. Recommends and incorporates technology with long-term business plans. Transfers knowledge of key learnings throughout the enterprise, and establishes and communicates strategic and technological plans. This position prefers a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience and requires 7 to 10 years of IT work experience. Requires prior management, supervisory, or team leader experience.
Additional Requirements (highly desirable and high priority):
Documented 5 years experience leading technical teams in the development of SOA based systems.
Documented 5 years experience developing complex computer systems using Java.
Documented 2 years experience programming in the JBOSS Enterprise SOA environment including JBOSS Workflow and Drools Business Rules engine.A
Documented 2 years experience programming server applications (servlets) in the Spring framework
Documented 3 years experience developing complex computer systems using java IDEs such as Eclipse
Documented 5 years experience programming in SQL and/or PL/SQL
