Pyramid Mentoring is a small mentoring company established several years ago.
As an approved provider of both Alternative Learning Provision and adult mentoring, our company is growing and we are looking for additional members of staff to join the team in this part time and flexible role.
We are committed to person centered thinking, respect, choice and dignity for the adult clients and young people we mentor.
What is a mentor?
A mentor is someone who motivates, guides and listens, supporting someone to reach their goals on a 1:1 basis in the community. A mentor may help individuals of any age to build their confidence, resilience and independence exploring different approaches with each client so that they may achieve their next steps.
Due to the nature of the role, the hours available are varied and flexible and can be as few or as many as fits around your other commitments and the needs of your clients starting at a minimum of 2 hours per week. Young people's work is across both South Gloucestershire and Bristol and all adult work is in South Gloucestershire.
You may be:
A parent looking for work in school hours
A student looking for a few hours a week while you study
Returning to work
Looking for a role to fit alongside another part time job
Or you may just have a desire to help and support people to transform their lives.
You will be be:
Pro active, enthusiastic, with good caring for people skills
Able to work both on your own and as part of a team.
Patient, Non judgmental, empathetic and resilient
You will have:
Good written and verbal communication skills
Access to a computer and be proficient in Excel and Word
It is desirable that you have experience or training in supporting vulnerable people, mental health, social care and autism although full training will be given.
Where possible, you should also hold a clean driving licence with access to a car.

We are proud to be an accredited real living wage employer.
Hourly rate: £12.05 to £12.94 (depending on qualifications and experience) plus holiday entitlement in addition (total £13.50 - £14.50).
