Job Title: AP Literature Teacher
Location: Chongming Island, Shanghai
Start Date: August 2025
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (including office hours)

About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced AP Literature Teacher to join our high school faculty at an international bilingual school located on the beautiful Chongming Island in Shanghai. The ideal candidate will inspire a love for literature while preparing students for academic success in the AP curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:
Teach AP Literature to high school students (grades 10–12)
Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons
Assess and monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Class & Schedule Details:
Class size: Approx. 25 students per class
Teaching Load: 20 classes per week
Work Week: 4.5 days (Monday to Friday morning)
Days Off: Friday afternoon, Saturday, and Sunday

Candidate Requirements:
Native English speaker
Bachelor’s degree (English, Education, or related field preferred)
TEFL/TESOL certification
Minimum 2 years of relevant teaching experience
Clean criminal background check
Familiarity with AP curriculum a strong plus

Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: ¥28,000–¥32,000/month (pre-tax)
Half-pay during winter and summer holidays
Housing: Free on-campus accommodation or ¥2,000 monthly housing allowance

Paid Holidays:
3 weeks Winter Break
8 weeks Summer Break
