Toynbee Hall has been at the forefront of social change in Londons East End for over 140 years, tackling the deep-rooted issues of poverty and inequality. As we move forward, we are seeking a strategic, commercially-minded Chief Operating Officer to help guide us through our next chapter.

In this newly created role, you will work closely with the CEO and Board, playing a critical part in shaping our financial strategy and operational delivery. At a time when rising costs and increasing demand challenge charities everywhere, we need someone who can not only maintain but enhance our financial sustainability, maximising commercial income opportunities and ensuring our corporate services are delivered with excellence.

We are a small but impactful organisation, and as COO, you will ensure that our financial management, commercial operations, and governance frameworks all work in harmony to deliver our ambitious goals. From overseeing income from our venue hire business to leading on risk management, your role will be pivotal in securing Toynbee Halls future.

To succeed, you will bring senior-level experience in financial management, ideally within the charity sector, as well as a proven track record in commercial income generation. Youll be as comfortable working strategically as you are getting involved in day-to-day operations, and your leadership style will inspire and empower others across the organisation.
