Job Title: Payroll Coordinator
Location: StoneX Group, Washington
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:
StoneX Group is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to join our Washington office. This role is responsible for processing payroll accurately and efficiently for our employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The Payroll Coordinator will work closely with HR and Finance to maintain employee records, address payroll inquiries, and implement best practices in payroll management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, including calculating wages, deductions, and overtime.
• Verify timekeeping records, review timesheets, and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate pay.
• Maintain payroll data within HR and payroll software, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
• Prepare and maintain payroll-related reports, including tax filings, deductions, benefits, and garnishments.
• Coordinate with HR to ensure correct employee data, including new hires, terminations, promotions, and transfers.
• Address employee payroll inquiries promptly and accurately.
• Stay informed on changes in payroll laws, tax regulations, and company policies to ensure compliance.
• Reconcile payroll accounts, assist with audits, and prepare journal entries for the finance team.
• Support payroll system updates or process changes as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in payroll processing or a related role.
• Proficiency with payroll software (such as ADP, Paychex, or Workday) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong understanding of payroll practices, tax regulations, and employment laws.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with employees and team members.
