Job Title: Business Development Manager
Reports to: Managing Director/CEO
Location: [Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt]

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead our business growth efforts in the electro-mechanical equipment industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing and executing sales strategies, and building relationships with key clients and partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to drive growth and increase market share.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through research, networking, and relationship-building.
• Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to drive sales and revenue growth.
• Conduct market research and analysis to stay up to date on industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and technical teams, to develop and deliver tailored solutions to clients.
• Develop and manage sales forecasts, pipelines, and performance metrics to measure business development success.
• Negotiate and close deals with clients, ensuring that all sales and revenue targets are met or exceeded.
• Provide input into product development and improvement, based on client feedback and market research.
• Develop and manage a network of agents, distributors, and partners to expand the company's reach and capabilities.
• Stay up to date on industry developments, best practices, and emerging trends, and apply this knowledge to drive business growth.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/mechanical engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing in the electro-mechanical equipment industry.
• Proven track record of driving business growth, increasing sales, and expanding market share.
• Strong understanding of the electro-mechanical equipment industry, including market trends, competitors, and emerging technologies.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable insights.
• Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office, and other business productivity tools.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master’s degree in business administration, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional certifications, such as Certified Business Development Professional (CBDP) or Certified Sales Professional (CSP).
• Experience working in a multinational company or a company with a global presence.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies, such as IoT, AI, and robotics, and their applications in the electro-mechanical equipment industry.
